Reports To: Director of Technical Operations

Position Summary:

IronClad IT, the managed network services division of Office Advantage, is seeking a reliable and versatile IT Service Technician to join our technical team. In this hybrid support role, you’ll be hands-on with computer repairs in our service center and provide remote support to resolve issues for our clients.


You’ll work directly with customers to diagnose problems, implement solutions, and help keep their technology running smoothly. If you’re someone who thrives on solving problems and values both tech excellence and strong relationships, we’d love to hear from you


Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshooting and Repair: Diagnose and resolve technical issues involving hardware, software, and basic networking, both in-shop and remotely.

  • System Maintenance: Perform updates, cleanups, and preventative maintenance to optimize device performance and security.

  • Remote Assistance: Offer efficient, remote-first solutions for customer support whenever possible.

  • Installation and Setup: Install and configure hardware and software for individual and business clients.

  • Data Services: Safely transfer data, manage backups, and recover important client information when needed.

  • Customer Communication: Provide patient, professional, and plain-language support to help users feel confident in their technology.

  • Documentation: Accurately log service tasks, diagnostics, and customer interactions..

  • Professional Development: Stay up to date with the latest tools, trends, and threats in the IT services industry.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience: Previous experience in IT support or technical services preferred.

  • Tech Skills: Strong understanding of PC and Mac systems, common applications, and network configurations.

  • Problem-Solving: Comfortable diagnosing issues and creating effective solutions across a range of devices.

  • People Skills: Clear communicator with a positive, client-first attitude.

  • Time Management: Able to balance multiple service requests while keeping detailed records.

  • Certifications (Preferred): CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified Professional.


Education:

  • Preferred: Associate degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • Minimum: High school diploma or equivalent.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and transport equipment.

  • Willingness to work in a variety of environments including client sites as needed.


Work Environment:

  • This position typically operates in a technical repair shop but may involve travel to clients' homes or businesses for on-site repairs.
