Heart & Sole Cancer Walk

As a team effort to raise awareness and promote our commitment to overcome this disease, we invite you to gather your family, friends, coworkers, and students to participate in this event. The revenue from this walk is used to aid people in the Mitchell and surrounding areas in their fight against cancer.

Big Friend Little Friend

Big Friend - Little Friend

We empower children through supportive mentoring relationships. Big Friend Little Friend staff provides training, support, and guidance to Bigs and Littles to help nurture a healthy, lasting relationship. We communicate regularly with each Big, Little, and parent/guardian to support every child’s development and provide resources where needed.

Heartland House

Some homeless families have needs much greater than any single source of assistance can address. These families, in addition to needing a place to live, also need help with food, employment, education and a wide variety of other necessities. Heartland House, ICAP's Rapid Re-Housing Program for homeless families with children, was created to help those families.

Mitchell Firefighters

Today's fire fighter is a multifaceted individual trained in Emergency Medical Technician procedures, technical rescue disciplines such as structural collapse rescue, tunnel rescue, confined space rescue, trench collapse rescue, rescue scuba diving as well as firefighting.

Corn Palace Shrine Club

The Corn Palace Shrine Club was organized in 1956 with a membership of 44 Nobles. Today the Club has 180 members with about 95 of those belonging to the Corn Palace Hillbilly Clan #161, the Club parade unit. The Unit members ride in Hillbilly vehicles and on uniquely decorated "Hillbilly Hogs".

Mitchell Main Street & Beyond

Mitchell Main Street and Beyond is an economic development program specifically targeted to provide technical assistance to Mitchell's historic commercial district. The downtown has a unique sense of place which, as part of a national trend, is becoming increasingly popular as a place to do business, shop, dine, live and experience family activities.

We have a vibrant biking community of both single-track and roadies, both experienced and beginner riders. During the summer months we'll have both evening rides and weekend rides scheduled on a regular basis.
